Asian Avocado Snacks
Avocados. The “Super Fruit,” also a great snack (or snacks) when you’ve worked and entire day and are trying to be “good” before (or after) your workout. Asian Avocado Snacks are flavor filled and super satisfying!
To be clear I can totally eat avocados “plain” with a hint of salt. However, I would not be a “foodie” if I didn’t push the envelope just a tad and try to see how much more flavor I could get from such an already fantastic fruit.
I love the versatility of avocados. Avocados can easily adapt to whatever it’s flavored with. If only more things in our lives were as adaptable 🙂
One of my favorite ways to eat avocado is with a hint of lemon juice, soy sauce, and chili paste. All three of those flavors combined give me Asian vibes, hence Asian Avocado Snacks.
If the creamy factor isn’t your thing, you could totally try this recipe with firmer avocados. Also, if firm avocados don’t light your candle, you are welcomed to try softer “mushier” avocados.
*Small Disclaimer* I have not tried this recipe with unripened avocados, so there is no expert advice to extract at this time! The texture will change, but the flavor won’t be sacrificed!
These snacks are not enough to make a meal from, but it is a filling until the next meal appears.
- 2-3 ripened avocados, chopped
- ¼ cup of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chili paste
- 1 tablespoon diced onions (optional)
- pinch of sea salt
- pinch of pepper
- Mix all ingredients, but carefully. Can be eaten alone or placed on chips (or veggies, if mashed).
