Biba’s was an ok experience in my opinion. Details below…
When I walked in looked to the right and left and noticed a family sitting by the bar. I asked the girl behind the bar (the “hostess”) if I was able to sit anywhere and she abruptly told me she’d “be right there” and to “give her a second.” I was taken aback and almost walked out, but decided to stay because was extremely hungry. I decided to give Biba’s a go.
I was led to the dining room where few were eating and notice several tables filled with dirty dishes and cups. It was an eye sore. I again, almost walked out but decided that other people were eating so I would give it a try.
The server walked up and asked what I wanted to drink. She didn’t identify herself (I really hate that). When I told her I’d never been there, it was disregarded. She didn’t offer any suggestions or really interact at all (Again, things I don’t like). She asked if I knew what I wanted and I asked her to give me a few minutes. She was serving the entire restaurant by herself so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. She came back and I placed my order of linguine with clam sauce (white). It came with salad, which was pretty good (photoed below).
Next the food came, it ate through it before she came back an checked to see if everything was ok. It wasn’t until my meal was almost over that she started clearing the plates from the tables, slowly.
Overall, the food was good, the service was mediocre. I only got “Madison’s” name at the end thanks to the receipt. It wasn’t very warm or inviting. Biba’s wasn’t anything spectacular. The experience was just well, ehh.
